From Lindsey: My husband Andrew and I were married in 2012 and were both raised in the town where we live: Kokomo, IN. We have both full hands and hearts as we raise our four children. We have two boys: Cooper and Maverick and two girls: Wrenlee and Maddyn. We are thankful to be surrounded by family and friends in our town. We love Jesus, all sports but especially baseball, all things outdoor, and a good movie night. I am passionate about people and feel called to love others the way Christ has loved me.

  • Scott is a staff accountant for Fiscalign, LLC, a partner company to JDLA. Scott grew up in Ireland, Indiana, a small town north of Jasper, where, like in the tv show Cheers, everybody knows your name. Growing up in the small town midwest, Scott learned that hard work is the only way to do anything. After graduating from Jasper High School, Scott set off on his college journey to achieve a degree in accounting. While his route wasn't the most common, he is very proud that he was able to work 50 hours a week in commercial roofing while also accomplishing to graduate from Indiana Wesleyan University through online courses with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting. After college, Scott had a few places of employment before landing at Fiscalign, all of which have helped him in different ways. Working for German American Bank as an SSR, as well as an accountant for Holiday World and Meyer Distributing were three very different roles that helped him become the accountant with the knowledge base he holds today. In his spare time, Scott enjoys the wide world of sports. Rarely will you catch him missing an Indianapolis Colts game on a Sunday or an opportunity to get a round of 18 holes of golf in with close friends. He also enjoys the cinema and taking lessons learned in film to other aspects of his life, including work. He would be remiss if he didn't mention his loving pitbull/boxer rescue Cinna. At 8 years old, she has helped through tough times and been a great companion. Scott hopes to continue to build relationships with current and future clients under the Fiscalign and JDLA umbrella. The empowerment to succeed seen in two and a half years at Fiscalign makes looking into the future very exciting.

Deirdre loves the challenges of telling a vibrant, personal story from data, turning information into meaning, and shaping messaging and strategy to beautifully align with the heart and soul of nonprofits’ missions. Deirdre joined JDLA in 2022 after working in all three sectors—public, private, and nonprofit—where her primary focus was on educational enrichment programs for youth of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds. She is also the president of Ktizo Solutions.

    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

M.P.A. in Nonprofit Management, Indiana University (Indianapolis)

B.S.P.A. in Public Affairs Civic Leadership, Indiana University (Indianapolis)

From Deirdre: When I’m not traveling the US and world to invest in the lives and communities of friends and family, you can find me in Middle Tennessee, working on the little 1870 Church in the Valley that I and two households of tenants call home. While I prefer to spend my evenings writing or reading poetry and history, cooking delicious curries, hiking the mountains, gardening, or creating beautiful things with friends, owning an old home means that most of my time is spent giving new life to peeling windows and disintegrating sub-floors. Life is an adventure, and living every day for Christ illuminates the most mundane moments with purest glory!
